It looks like Cassiem Drummond had a successful screw-inserting surgery yesterday.
Sadly, in his recuperation he won’t be able to travel with the team to Detroit.

: Caz Out For Year
“Villanova center Casiem Drummond suffered a broken right ankle in Sunday’s NCAA Tournament second-round win over Siena and will undergo surgery Tuesday, ending his season.
The injury is unrelated to the stress fracture in the same ankle that sidelined Drummond earlier this season…”
: Caz Injury Update
We saw Cassiem Drummond get carried off during the Siena game with a right ankle injury. The Daily News reported that it would be reevaluated back in Philly and there is conflicting news on the current situation. Stay tuned to VUhoops.com…
: Quick Injury Update
We posted yesterday that Dwayne Anderson was hobbling around in a walking cast. The good news is that it is off and he is able to practice. Don’t look for an impact for the Clemson game.
Reggie Redding hurt his ankle in practice, but will be fine for friday night.
Cassiem Drummond is good to go.
: Dwayne Anderson Injury- Day to Day
FOX Sports is reporting the following:
“Villanova’s Dwayne Anderson suffered an ankle injury in practice on Monday and is day-to-day. The 6-foot-6 junior has been terrific of late, leading the team in rebounds in the last 11 games at nearly eight per game.”
DA has been x-rayed and has nothing broken. He was in a protective boot today on campus. He is noted as “Day to Day” and things look good for friday.

:Caz Injury Update
As I mentioned in yesterday’s Game Recap, Casiem Drummond has been listed with a stess fracture in his ankle.
Here’s a quick blurb in the Daily News about it, but it really doesn’t give any brilliant insight besides that it will be a minimum of 2 weeks to recover.

LaSalle 58: :71 Villanova
Scottie led the way with 19 and Corey Fisher threw in an additional 18 as Villanova won its 14th consecutive Big5 game.
:Story
The bad news of the night was released before the game when Jay announced that Casiem Drummond will be out for an indefinite amount of time with a stress fracture in his right ankle.
