In an effort to bring excitement during the doldrums of the summer, VUhoops.com is starting our first contest:
Guess the Date of the Georgetown Game
The winner will receive a ‘Nova Nation t-shirt.
Rules
- All Official Guesses must be posted as a comment to this thread.
- A valid email address must be used for us to contact you if you win.
- Entries submitted less than 24 hours before the Big East Schedule is released by Villanova, Georgetown, or the Conference will be discarded.
- If the correct date is not selected, the person who selects the closest date (+/- # of days away) will be the winner.
- In the event of a tie (for the correct date or the closest to the correct date), the tie breaker will be the person who posted their guess first.

Villanova couldn’t overcome Georgetown’s 17 for 27 3-Point shooting (63%) and lost to the 9th ranked and #1 seeded Hoyas.
Scottie Reynolds had 13 for the Wildcats. Dwayne, Dante, and Antonio Peña each had 12.
‘Nova now waits for the NCAA Selection Committee’s decision on Sunday at 6p ET (CBS).

Keeping NCAA Tourny hopes alive, five Wildcats scored in double figures to beat Syracuse in the first round of the BIG EAST Tournament.
Scottie Reynolds led the way with 22 (4-7 3FG). Corey Stokes added 18 (4-8 3FG). Dwayne, Dante and Shane popped in 14, 13, & 11.
‘Nova outrebounded the Orange 39-27.
#1 Seed Georgetown is next tomorrow at 12p ET. The game will be on ESPN.

In another last (tenth of a) second foul called against Villanova this season, the Wildcats lost to Georgetown by two tonight in Washington DC. Scottie Reynolds led the way with 24 for ‘Nova.

All students are invited to come out and support the Villanova Men’s Basketball team as they take on Georgetown tonight.
