UNC Charlotte Game in the Works
The Big East is notorious for being the last conference to release their schedules. Even though Villanova’s complete schedule won’t be released for another week or two, we’ve been able to piece together the schedule. It looks like the final piece of the puzzle may be a game against the University of North Carolina- Charlotte. The Charlotte Observer is noting that the 49ers could be heading to the Pavilion on December 19th.
Check out the “pieced together” 2008-09 Schedule.

2008-09 Big East Basketball Preview Media Guide
The Men’s Basketball Media Day is still more than two months away (on October 22nd), but the Big East has released its Men’s Basketball Preview Media Guide. Although it is more of a “2007-08 Recap” it should give basketball fans something to chew on in the middle of summer.
One interesting ‘Nova note, as we keep trying to figure out the Out of Conference Scheduling for the upcoming season, the Media Guide notes are participation in the Philly Classic on only November 19 & 25th.
2008-09 Roster Updated
The official Villanova.com site has updated the roster for this upcoming season.
In new news… it notes that Taylor King will wear #31 (he wore #20 at Duke, but Shane Clark sports that number for the Wildcats). This is also the first opportunity Villanova fans can see King and freshman Maurice Sutton in a ‘Nova uniform.

Texas Game in Jimmy V Classic will be @ 9p
Villanova will play Texas in the 9p game of the Jimmy V Classic at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday December 9th.

‘Nova to Play at Marquette on 01/01?
From the Rumor Mill… The Milwaukee Sports Blog, Quevedo at the Buffet, is reporting that Buzz Williams told a bunch of Marquette supporters that the Golden Eagles will open their Big East schedule against the Wildcats on New Year’s Day in Milwaukee.
We’ll just have to wait a few weeks to see how this plays out.

A Fordham Message Board is noting that the Rams will be hosting Villanova this season in New York City.
With what we know about the 2008-09 Villanova Schedule, there are probably 2 or 3 more Out of Conference games to be announced.
