Delaware v. Villanova Double Header Set

It would have been great if they had the football game at the linc and the basketball game at the Wells Fargo Center. Now that would have been awesome!

Too bad more of the seasons don’t overlap. It would be easy to do that vs. Temple (Linc/WFC) and Penn (Franklin/Palestra).

I like this double header idea. Since most people will not be able to get tickets for the basketball end of the double header, does anyone remember if this game would be one that is televised…….? Trying to orchestrate an all Saturday guys Villanova sports day.

A little off-topic, but this is phenominal news! Former All-American and NCAA Champion and current assistant coach Adrian Blincoe qualified for the London 2012 games today by hitting the A-standard in the 5000 meter run in Barcelona. His time was 13:18! The tradition lives on!

Hey since I am a Season ticket holder for Union I simply entered my password and PRESTO 8 tickets on the way via print at home!! I am getting 8 more. I will have the biggest badest tailgating ever seen at NOVA  I am actually trying to get a band to play!!  I am buying 6 Temple at 6 Penn August 1st!  Hey noticed the Bleacher Report May 24th article about Big Leas/Villanillanova problem that 55 percent favored Nova joining even with small stadium….ummmmm

I am getting a van. It will look like a Villanova rah rah explosion!! I am checking if I can have a band. I know a 4 piece really good one. I have a generator! Not sure what the rules are at PPL Park with grills etc but I really don’t care. Let’s have a party and invite all VUhoops people. I love the shirt idea.I am checking with nova people as we speak. Brian I think if we set it up and throw it out there i can’t imagine less than 50 people. The football club, alumni association will all have something so we have to keep that in mind but I think the VUhoops people may find this more to their liking. i will email and yes i’m serious!!

If we’re organizing a tailgate for PPL Park, I’m sure I can easily get a few more mates from the ’10 class. If we need a number I can start nailing it down.

Let’s make a showing to prove that we belong in the BE, and that while it is only 30,000 (eventually) we don’t need 100k + to be intimidating.
 

I think a tailgate for that game is a great idea. The bigger the better. I know that the football club will probably be putting something on as well, but as Gpraz notes there is always room for more tailgating (plus the fact that football club tailgates are technically only open to members).

I will be putting a tailgating party together big time. I have calls to Nova to get several parking spots together. I think the tailgating should be for anyone but specifically for VUHoops people who want football to move to Big East or at least throw their support at the great FCS team we have. NovaChemE nail down as many as possible. If Brian and Ed and the gang can organize this with me I envision the mother of all parties with VUHoops promotion, shirt sales, enthusiasm which will carry into stadium. If we all push the stadium will be packed with supportive fans. Who will be watching?? Comcast will be carrying game. Packed stadium. (note:away from campus!!!!) Big Least………….? 

Sorry, just catching up. Haven’t been on the site for a day.
I have group from the class of 1992….we just purchased 16 TICKETS TODAY and we’ll be tailgating as well. Would definitely like to combine groups/coordinate parking (saw you can buy parking pass, which from my one visit to PPL is probably a good move…you want to park on South side of the stadium, not the North).
Looking forward to it….this is going to be a great time!
