Wayns will return

Maalik Wayns announced this morning that he will definitely return to Villanova next season, ending speculation that he would test the NBA waters this summer. Whether he was ever really considering such a move is still unknown, but the reaction from Dominic Cheek showed at least some excitement from his teammates about the announcement....

Lax Cats Lose a Heartbreaker

It’s easy as a fan to find “moral victories” in a team’s loss. It’s probably not the same in the locker room. But if there were ever a moral victory to be had it happened at Villanova Stadium last night. In front of an impressive 6,289 spectators it looked in the final minutes as...

The Biggest Game in Villanova Lacrosse History?

Villanova hasn’t just “never beaten” Syracuse on the lacrosse field. They have been flat out embarrassed in all three previous meetings. Last years affair was about as bad as it gets as Nova got whipped 20-6. But that could all change this year. Never have the two team played while so evenly matched. At...

Is the Big East Overrated?

Is the Big East Overrated?

The Big East conference has been popularly derided for the failure of its record 11 NCAA Tournament teams to advance to the second weekend. Charles Barkley (who apparently made a guest appearance this week at Kelly’s) notably, and repeatedly, referred to the Big East as overrated on the air, and to many that seemed...
