For the first time in school history, #2 ranked Villanova will be playing in the FCS Championship game courtesy of its 14-13 victory over #6 William and Mary last night at a frigid Villanova Stadium. After being held scoreless in the first half, Andy Talley’s Villanova Football squad scored 2 touchdowns in the second half for the win.

The Wildcats got on the board with 6 minutes into the second half with a Matt Szczur 62 yard run. Villanova scored their second TD 4 minutes into the 4th Quarter on a 1-yard Chris Whitney rush capping a 6-minute, 49 yard drive.

Villanova will play the winner of tomorrow’s Appalachian State vs. Montana semifinal in the Championship game next Friday night in Chattanooga.
