Villanova Football Advances to Final Four

Villanova stuck to the ground game today with its field covered in snow in their Quarterfinal match-up against New Hampshire. ‘Nova amassed 343 ground yards in a 46-7 win. Angelo Babbaro led the Wildcats with 148 yards rushing and 2 touchdowns. Philly.com reports that “Villanova has outrushed its last four opponents, 1,198 yards to 73.”

Villanova set a school record for the fewest rushing yards allowed by holding New Hampshire to minus-66 yards rushing. New Hampshire finished with 84 yards of total offense. With the win, Villanova improved to 12-1, tying the school’s record for victories in a season.

The Cats next face William & Mary on Friday in the National Semifinal. The ‘Cats beat W&M in October 28-17. The game will be on ESPN2.
