More to Life: Nova Sinks Rhode Island

Villanova coach Andy Talley kept Villanova’s soggy homecoming crowd happy, winning his 200th career victory (172 as Nova’s coach) as the Cats defeated Rhode Island, 36-7.  The Wildcats, ranked 4th in the FCS entering the game, now are 7-1 (4-1 CAA). Chris Whitney had 124 yards rushing and 121 passing, including a touchdown. 

At the conclusion of the first quarter, Villanova basketball team was honored for reaching the Final Four last season.  The Philadelphia Inquirer reported that recruits Michael Gilchrist, Markus Kennedy and Achraf Yacoubou attended the game.
