adolf_hitler_portraitFor those in the mood for a good laugh at the expense of political correctness, our friends at I Bleed Blue And White have announced the latest Sean Donovan video, Hitler The Pittsburgh Fan. (the link takes you to the video).  It is a parody of the 2004 movie Downfall “portraying Hitler as a Pittsburgh fan, and a West Virginia and Duke hater.”   The last-second winning shot by Scotty Reynolds and the convincing win over Duke elicit strong emotional responses from der Fuhrer.  In a true testament to the genius of this creative masterpiece by Mr. Donovan, consider this critique from Hail2Pitt9 — “im a pitt fan and was at the game andi think this is hilarious! LOL”

stokes-and-penaI Bleed Blue And White also reports that Antonio Pena and Corey Stokes have been named to the 15-player Global Sports Academy Team USA All-Star squad.  The team will play European all-star teams during a four-country swing through Europe beginning August 9.  Global Sports Academy promotes international goodwill through sporting events.

christmas1Finally, IBB&W cites Zagsblog reporting that 2011 local prospect Rakeem Christmas recently cut his list of target schools to eight, including Villanova.  “The Philadelphia big-man is ranked the #6 overall prospect for 2011, and the top defensive player in the country,” says IBB&W.  Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer ran a related feature story this morning, “Nova in Running for Top Recruit, which provides good insight into how Chrismas is thinking about Nova as a possible future home.  Thanks to frequent poster, Randy Foye’s Shot, for the lead on that story.
