It's summertime... so there's not too much news besides Dante and Scottie prepping for the NBA Draft, a new assistant coach, Fisher trying out for the World University Games, and Cheek competing for a spot on the u19 National Team.
So we're going t0 look ahead to the 2009-10 Villanova Basketball Schedule.
First, we know there will be 18 Big East games and the "home and aways" should be announced sometime this summer.
VU will also participate in the the Philadelphia Big 5 taking on Temple, Penn, LaSalle, and St. Joe's.
We also know that the Wildcats will be heading south to San Juan for the Puerto Rico Tip-Off. 'Nova will play in three games from Nov 19th through the 22nd with the possible opponents being Pat Chambers' Boston University squad, Dayton, George Mason, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Kansas State, and Ole Miss.
The newest addition to the schedule is Villanova's inclusion in the BB&T Classic in Washington DC against the University of Maryland. The game against the Terps will help benefit the Children's Charities Foundation and will be part of a triple header at the Verizon Center on December 6th.
So by our count, that is (18 + 4 + 3 + 1)... 26 games. There is probably only room for another 3 or 4 out of conference games.
As we find out more games we'll be listing them.
