The #21 Golden Eagles (25-8, 13-6) easily defeated St. John's by 29 in a second round game in the Big East Tournament and will face #10 'Nova on Thursday. The win ended a 4-game skid for MU.
Marquette and the Wildcats split a pair of games in the regular season with each squad winning on their home court in Milwaukee and at the Pavilion.
Since then, Marquette has lost one of its starters in Senior guard Dominic James who is out for the season with a broken foot. Jerel McNeal, Wesley Matthews, and Lazar Hayward have picked up the slack and all average over 16 points a game.
