Dante Cunningham scored 31 points and nabbed 9 rebounds to lead Villanova with a 17-Point win over #20 Syracuse. The Wildcats had 4 other players scoring in Double Digits; Corey Stokes had 16, Shane Clark (along with 10 rebounds) and Corey Fisher had 12 and Scottie Reynolds added 10.
The win puts ‘Nova at 19-4 and 7-3 in the conference. The Wildcats had 23 assists on 36 baskets and out-rebounded the Orange 41-33.
‘Nova started the game on a 12-2 run and never looked back. Their largest lead was 20 points 2 minutes into the second half. The orange crawled to within 11, but a technical foul on Johnny Flynn killed their momentum.
‘Nova hosts Marquette on Tuesday. Following their Friday Night defeat to USF, MU is coming off of their first Big East loss.
