Quick Q&A with Mouph Yarou

Villanova Signee Mouphtaou Yarou was kind enough to answer some quick questions for VUhoops.com. The 6′10″ 250 lb forward is currently ranked the #14 player in the country by Rivals, #27 by ESPN, and #50 by Scout.

VUhoops.com: When did Villanova first contact you?
Mouph Yarou: Coach Chambers contacted me in May of last year after seeing me play AAU.

VUhoops.com: Why did you choose Villanova?
Mouph Yarou: I really like Coach Chambers and feel comfortable with him. I am thankful to get a free education and am excited to play in the Big East. Also, I am confident I will be able to earn playing time right away.

VUhoops.com: Have you ever played with or against the two other Villanova commits, Maalik Wayns and Dominic Cheek?
Mouph Yarou: I have not played with or against Maalik or Dominic, but am so excited to be their teammate as I have head a lot of great things about them both.

VUhoops.com: Basketball wise, what are you focusing on during your senior season?
Mouph Yarou: My goal is to listen to my coaches and do what I have to do to get better every day. I am also very focused on helping Montrose win a National Championship.

VUhoops.com: What are you most excited for in being a Wildcat?
Mouph Yarou: Playing with new teammates, playing in the Big East, and working hard to win a National Championship.
