How many scholarships are left now and who are the targets?

Jay Wright can use up to two scholarships for the Class of 2009 if no one leaves early.

    2009-10

    SRs (3): Drummond, Redding, Reynolds

    JRs (3): Fisher, Peña, Stokes

    SOs (2): Sutton, King

    FR (3): Armwood, Wayns, Yarou

Our guess is that they will put all the eggs in the Cheek Basket and carry one over to 2010.

Agree that Cheek continues to be a target. The squad looks very solid for 2009-10 season. I wonder if Murray and Vinson are out of the picture. One or both (especially if Cheek decides on another school) would be a good addition. The distribution of scholarships looks much better than it has for the past several seasons.

Ooooooh if we can bring in Cheek, what a haul this would be.  Potential #1 recruiting class?

It would be a Top 2 Class with Cheek. UNC has received some verbals from Top 50 recruits too.

I can see a proud Jay Wright smiling as Cheeks, Yarou, Fisher, Wynans, King, Sutton, Stokes, Murray, Armwood, and Pena cut down the nets at Reliant Stadium in Houston on April 4, 2011.
