From The Bleacher Report: Villanova Basketball: Why Not ‘NOVA This Year?

Interesting comments. The author draws a mention to the 2006 squad and then…

So let me ask you this: Why can’t a new trio emerge for this upcoming season? I know, I know, it’s very early, but let’s do some dreaming. Why can’t a trio of Scottie Reynolds, Corey Fisher, and Reggie Redding lead the way?

From Villanova by the Numbers, a very analytical look at the performance of Stokes, Fisher, Pena, and Grant. Man, do we love VBTN.

Some Articles on ‘Nova Recruits

Maalik Wayns ‘09

Wayns took away Gaddy’s ability to use his change of speeds to get into the teeth of the defense and find open teammates. Wayns also pressured Gaddy and kept him from getting into a comfort zone with the ball. On offense, Wayns used his quickness to get into the paint for his own lay-ups.

Markus Kennedy ‘10

He has a very soft touch around the hoop, and excellent hands. He scored most of his points right around the hoop. He muscled his was to the hoop then laid the ball in using two hands, it hit nothing but the bottom of the net. Marcus also banked in one basket with a man draped all over him. Marcus also hit a reverse lay up from directly under the hoop.
